You Can Count On

Dr. Alan M. Farber founded Manalapan Animal Clinic & Hospital in 1978 as an out-patient clinic serving pets and their owners in the greater Monmouth County region.

During the hospital's early years, Dr. Farber also served as the Associate Director of Clinics at the prestigious Henry Bergh Memorial Hospital of the ASPCA of New York, where in addition to treating referrals from throughout the tri-state area, he was responsible for training and supervising 15 practicing veterinarians. In 1983 Dr. Farber resigned from Henry Bergh Memorial Hospital to concentrate on expanding the Manalapan Animal Clinic into a full-service Englishtown veterinary hospital.

Since first opening its doors to the Manalapan community, Manalapan Township animal clinic has undergone several renovations to provide the most safe, modern medical and surgical services to our patients. The most recent major renovation in 2012 included the addition of intensive/critical care facilities, digital radiography, dental technology, stem cell regenerative therapy, and on-site orthopedic surgery capability performed by a nationally board-certified veterinary surgeon by appointment for elective services.

Our goal is to continue to provide individualized veterinary care for every patient in a compassionate, state-of-the-art setting, while utilizing the most up-to-date and proven treatments in veterinary medicine. Along with dogs and cats, we also provide medical and surgical care for guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, rodents, African hedgehogs, and sugar gliders and wellness care for birds.
